Work with me
This is one service that comes in three sizes, and most firms start with the smallest.
Use the data you already have. Staffing history, utilisation, calendars, billing. Years of information collected for other reasons and never looked at this way. You say what you want to know; I tell you what it can honestly answer, what it cannot, and what you would need to start collecting to close the gap. Often that second list is the valuable one, because it stops a project that was never going to work.
A custom assessment for your team. Questions written around how your firm actually works, worded the same every time so answers stay comparable month to month. Individual answers stay confidential to the person who gave them. What comes back to you is what the pattern shows, never a person’s file.
Software, if it comes to that. Some of this only works as a tool your team uses continuously rather than a document that ages. I build those, and I would rather talk you out of one you do not need than sell you one you will not use.
Not passion-finding, and not a resume rewrite. We work out which conditions you do your best work under, using evidence from jobs you have already had, and what that means for the one you take next.
Most career advice is someone telling you what worked for them. We start with what has already worked for you.
Everything I build rests on research I have actually read, and when a finding does not survive checking I say so in public, including when it was the finding I wanted. The essays and the tripwires page are the working proof of that, and they are free.
The practical version: I will not tell you something predicts performance when the evidence says it predicts satisfaction.
Nothing I build feeds a review, a promotion, a hiring decision or an exit. Not as a principle, as a practical matter: the moment it does, people stop answering honestly and the data stops being worth having.
I am not a psychologist and I do not assess individuals. And I will not sell you prediction the evidence does not support. If you want a tool that identifies who will perform, the honest answer is that nobody has demonstrated that.
Email me. Say what you are trying to work out, or what someone is trying to sell you. If I can answer it in a paragraph I will just answer it, free. [email protected]
Prefer to try it yourself first? The questions for leaders are free, and they are a fair preview of how I work.
